Team for Southampton
Fabianski

Ngakia
Diop
Ogbonna
Cresswell

Noble
Rice
Snodgrass

Anderson
Antonio
Bowen

Bowen surely needs to start. Tough call between Snodgrass and Fornals in midfield but Snodgrass gets it for his set-pieces. I want to see Ngakia keep the shirt - why drop a player who's playing well, even if he is a youngster? Maybe Moyes knows the answer to that. Plenty of pace up front in that team, and all three of those midfielders can pick a pass.

If he starts Zabaleta I’ll go on a rampage.

Re: Team for Southampton
Snodders is a defensive liability and needs to be further up the pitch if you're going to start him. I think it has to be a central core of Noble, Rice, and Fornal. Soucek would have been ideal. He gives a lot of breathing room to the attacking mids

Anderson isn’t match fit. Worth a place on the bench if it goes belly up - but no more

He can sit next to that mardy french prick.

Fornals defo worth a start. Along with Bowen.

The Troyster’s making an appearance Saturday so apologies cos my record is atrocious since we moved.

Can't believe most of you are picking that waste of space that is Anderson.
Do you honestly think that somehow the bottle job is going to come good.
I'd save him for the West Ham ladies on Sunday.

Can we have Doris the tealady on the bench instead of Haller?

Re: Team for Southampton
He's GOT to go for this one. We need three points rather than one so I really hope there's no ultra defensive mindset. Bowen HAS to play as well or what was the point in spending 20 million quid on him?

Fab

Ngakia (hope I got that right...)
Ogbonna
Diop
Cresswell

Rice
Noble/Snodgrass
Fornals

Anderson
and 2 out of three from Bowen, Antonio and Haller.

I'd rather we approached it like Bournemouth, high press high energy and go down fighting rather than concede territory and possession and hope for a goal on the break.

Just don’t start Haller and play Bowen in his best position. Need two up front or one just behind

snodds over formals as he's a safer bet in a central role.

I agree

Re: Team for Southampton
I don't buy into the thought that an average aging winger (who admittedly takes a good corner) can replace a central midfielder for us.

Noble WILL start

Re: Team for Southampton
Noble is one of our older squad members and probably should not be playing 2 games in a week.

And Bowen and Fornals should start.

Noble should be dropped IMO been a passenger last few games.

Would stick haller in the CF position behind antonio similar to how he played against southampton, getting him on the ball more and linking bowen and antonio.

I'd have to go for Frank Snr and Ticker Boyce over Fatty Howe and Jimmy Lindsay, mate.

Re: Team for Southampton
If I had to guess, I think he'll play the same line up as the other night, but have Fornals in for Soucek.

Which of course would mean Bowen on the bench again.
